Frontend Developer to Contribute to the Eclipse Thingweb Project

Our chair actively contributes to the Eclipse Thingweb project that aims to provide reference libraries and implementations for the W3C Web of Things (WoT), which is a group of standards for the application layer of the Internet of Things.

We are heavily involved in the validation aspect of WoT Thing Descriptions (TD). The validation of TDs are currently done via Thingweb Playground and WoT Test Bench, which are two tools that serve different purposes.

Your tasks will evolve around these two contributions to the WoT community. You will start with Thingweb Playground that is used intensively by everyone in the community. You need to improve its User Interface and make it a real "Playground" that can help everyone to write TDs, so more than simply validating them. The second task will involve in building a user interface for the WoT Test Bench and improving some of its API functionalities.

We need both of the interfaces to be done with Vue.js front-end framework such that they can be easily integrated with our upcoming tools.

What we offer:

- Possibility to contribute to an impactful project

- Your own working space in a relaxed environment

- 20 hours working contract with the standard HiWi salary.

What we expect:

- Front-end development experience, very preferably with Vue.js

- A portfolio with your past Web-related projects.
